The practice of gynecologic endoscopy has gone through many transitions. Two and a half decades ago, the pioneers envisioned a time where the practice will be embraced as a field of specialty and as a diagnostic and surgical modality of choice. Slowly the practice gained acceptance on its own and became realizable.

The members of the Society are physicians in the practice of obstetrics and gynecology with interest in the various aspects of gynecologic endoscopy. The application for membership shall be made in writing on forms provided by the Society, and submitted to the Chairman of the Specialty Board.
